Kate Upton Shows Off "Finger Mechanics" in MLB 2K12 Ad

SI cover model Kate Upton lends her good looks and apparent video game expertise to help a quartet of major leaguers learn the ropes in an ad for the new game MLB 2K12.
Titled “Finger Mechanics with Kate Upton,” the ad shows the curvaceous blonde teaching the baseball stars to an unhittable circle changeup ... virtually of course.
“Take your thumb, go up and then around, and that’s a circle change,” says Upton, who graces the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s swimsuit edition, to her audience.
Best. Pitching. Coach. Ever.
The ballplayers getting their learn on from the 19-year-old stunner are Detroit's Justin Verlander, Tampa's David Price, Cincinnati's Jay Bruce and L.A.'s C.J. Wilson.
MLB 2K12 comes out on March 6, and Upton's lesson may pay off: A user who pitches a perfect game will be entered into a contest for a chance to win $1 million.
Date with Kate not included.

Jada Pinkett Smith Dedicates Weird New Song to Husband

Jada Pinkett Smith is dead set on winning the Tournament of THG: Couples Edition.
With Jada and Will locked in a battle against Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, the actress has released a new ballad titled "Burn."
It first hit Smith's Facebook page on Tuesday and it included two notes, the first in honor of such late celebrities as Whitney Houston and Don Cornelius:
"With the major losses we have experienced in the last few weeks...We should remember...Our lives are worth living fully. Our risks are worthy. Our mistakes are worthy. Our traumas are worthy as well. The very paths we are told not to tread are the paths that hold the keys to our deepest understanding of love for our lives and ourselves. Self love is the gateway to truly loving another…deeply."
Jada then concluded:
"Will, I love you. Happy Valentine's Day. This is for you."
Does this mean we can put those divorce rumors to rest?

Alabama Fan Distracts Opponents With Giant Ass Pic of His Own Face

University of Alabama freshman Jack Blankenship thought of a great way to distract players from opposing schools: With a huge photo of his own contorted face.
From snarling Saddam Hussein to sultry Marilyn Monroe, giant craniums are nothing new in the stands of sporting events. But this was definitely a unique twist.
Blankenship, a native of the Tide's hometown of Tuscaloosa, began showing up behind the basket at games this month with a giant picture of his own dome:
"I never really saw the relevance of photos of celebrities, so I figured why not just a picture of me," Jack said. "I thought that it would be a little different."
The unusual sight of a student waving a giant picture of his own face during free throw attempts drew far more attention than Blankenship ever expected.
ESPN2 cameras caught him with the sign during Alabama's 69-67 overtime victory over Ole Miss on February 4, prompting announcer Pam Ward to remark:
"This guy ... who does that? I mean, who makes a picture of themselves?"
It's a fair question, but so is this: Why don't more skinny freshman fans at colleges across the country do this! Random, goofy-faced challenge extended!

Mountain Lion: Apple Announces New OS X for Macs

Move over, Snow Leopard and Lion. Make room for an even bigger cat: Apple announced its latest version of OS X for Macs, called Mountain Lion, today.
Mountain Lion is said to be more like iOS than ever, as Apple integrates various mobile services and moves to yearly OS updates across all of its devices.
Mountain Lion is available for preview today in two ways:
  1. If you’re a consumer, you can read about the new features at Apple’s website.
  2. If you have a developer account, you can download and install the new OS X.
Mountain Lion
Anyone running OS X Lion can download and install the beta version of Messages, a new app replacing iChat for instant messaging, and integrates iMessages, the Apple-only text-message replacement service for iPhone, iPad and now Mac.
Even the name “Messages” indicates Mountain Lion’s overarching philosophy. It extends OS X Lion’s “Back to the Mac” approach of pulling many ideas and concepts from Apple’s revolutionary mobile ecosystem back into the desktop machine.
There’s no more iChat, iCal or Address Book. Just Messages, Calendar and Contacts. Same names on all products, no more outdated “i” in front of app names.
AirPlay, Game Center, Reminders, Notes and Notification Center are all new to the Mac too, looking much like their iOS counterparts, according to Apple.

Lil Kim Labels Nicki Minaj a "Stupid Hoe"

It took some poking, and a bit of prodding, but Lil Kim came out with her true feelings last night.
Appearing on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the rapper was asked about Nicki Minaj, whether she thinks that artist is stealing her look/material and how she interpreted Nicki's controversial Grammy performance.
"I don't know what that was. I'm pretty sure I feel the same way everybody else feels right about now," Kim said at first, hemming and hawing before finally just saying:"If you have to make a song called 'Stupid Hoe,' you must be a stupid hoe."

Colbert Report: Suspended For Unknown Reasons

The Colbert Report, the late-night fake news Comedy Central program hosted by Stephen Colbert, has suspended production for at least two days this week.
The recent home of relentless parodying of super PACs and the campaign finance system didn't air a new episode last night and tonight will be a repeat as well.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will air repeat episodes on both Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16,” Comedy Central said.

Albani would not comment on the specific reasons for the suspension, saying Comedy Central was “not providing any additional details at this time.”
According to Third Beat Magazine, which covers comedy, Colbert’s audience received a notification email announcing the cancellation of live taping.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have canceled our taping for the date of your ticket reservation, February 15, 2012,” the email read.
It is expected that the suspension of production will not be indefinite, and that the show should return soon, but no further information is available.
Colbert’s super PAC, meanwhile, has over $800,000 on hand after raising $219,000 last month, almost entirely from small donors, heading into Super Tuesday.
